Why don’t I have a dial tone?

Check that all cords are properly connected
Make sure the AC power supply is plugged in and the power is turned on
Make sure the headset/handset toggle switch is in the headset position (for corded units used in conjunction with amplifier)
Make sure the system is in "headset" mode (for wireless units)
Make sure the battery is charged
Adjust the headset compatibility setting

Why can’t the other person hear me?

Make sure the mute button is off
Re-adjust microphone volume ("transmit" volume)
Move closer to base station as you may be out of range
Check the position of the microphone
Increase the transmit volume

Why do I hear a buzzing, humming or echo?

Base station may be too close to the telephone or computer
Transmit/receive volumes are too high
Telephone compatibility switch needs adjustment
Out of transmission range

Why is there a beep in my headset?

Wireless:

Battery is getting low
Out of range
Mute function is on

Corded:

• Low batteries in amplifier

Why doesn’t the handset lifter lift? (For Wireless)

Ensure the lifter is mounted properly and securly
Adjust the height if handset is not being lifted high enough
Ensure the lifter is plugged into the AUX port on the base/charger unit

Why doesn’t the headset ring in my ear? (For Wireless)

Increase the ring sensitivity control
Change the ring type
Increase volume of the ring
Ensure ring detector is over the speaker of the telephone

Why does the headset ring constantly?

Decrease ring sensitivity control
Lower the volume of the ring
Ring detector on the speaker of the telephone may not be needed
